Pancake Paperie: A Recipe for Creativity with a Side of Sass

Hi, I’m Rachael McArdle, the creative spirit behind Pancake Paperie! I live in sunny Southern California with my naughty little chihuahua who thinks he's the boss (he’s definitely not).

Before heading to UC San Diego to study Graphic and Web Design, I tried my hand at entrepreneurship with an online t-shirt shop and a handmade jewelry business. They didn’t quite rise to the occasion, but those experiences were crucial ingredients in my journey.

For 25 years, I’ve been working in Corporate America, immersed in the travel industry. But after hours, I pour my heart into my real passion: creating! Whether it’s cooking (pancakes, of course!), art, or gardening, I’ve always loved working with my hands. In 2020, during the pandemic, I decided to combine all my passions, and Pancake Paperie was born, whipped up in my cozy 800-square-foot apartment.

But this isn’t your average stationery shop. I wanted to bring something truly different to the table—fun, quirky designs that have personality. Every piece is carefully crafted by me in small batches and tested at local farmers markets to make sure it brings a little joy to your everyday life.

With a love for puns, paper, and making people smile, Pancake Paperie is my creative outlet, cooked with love and served fresh—one playful design at a time.
